hogmaw
I had to install it on my pc so I can listen to some Quicktime sound files. Now I find that it wants to be my default player instead of Windows Media Player and play ALL my soundfiles ie wavs, MP3s etc. So I go to Preferances, and untick the boxes all so that it will not play anything but Quicktime stuff. Click Apply then OK and problem solved... But no - the program just ignores me, it's re-ticked the boxes as if by magic and continues to play my soundfiles. It's driving me nuts. Am I doing something wrong? I don't want to have to uninstall it as it is useful, but if it is going to continue to hijack my computer and see itself as the default media player then I will have to do just that. BTW this occurs on my home machine AND work - same problem.
MrRalphMan
Yes, it tries with my PC, but it doesn't grab the file associations back for me... Try to uninstall/reinstall to see if it helps
Kopite
What happens if you go into WMP and tell that to be default again?
SBDJ
I use "Quicktime Alternative" instead

Try to uninstall/reinstall to see if it helps Done it 3 times now, I install it when I need to use it, then uninstall when I'm finished with it as it inevitably takes over. A right pain as you can imagine. What happens if you go into WMP and tell that to be default again? I will try that, see what happens, thx! I use "Quicktime Alternative" instead Never heard of that, I'll check it out, thx!
