Mike B
The first car I owned; back in 1994, an old astra 1.2 pushrod engine, ok car but painfully slow.... The cat was ill, so I elected to take it to the vets. After the appointment the cat wailed all the way home in it's kitty carrier. At the end of the journey I was driving up out long drive on the way home (half a mile long and off the public highway) I took pity on the little critter and leant over whilst still in 2nd gear, and let the catch off the carrier. To say it was in two places at once would be an understatement. It went completely mental and was all over me like a rash. Whilst trying to fight it off I bounced off 2 or three fenceposts down the drive, rubbing creasote all down the sides of the car and taking both windmirrors off. Once stopped, and alighted from the vehicle, the cat walked the rest of the way home calm as you like, whilst I walked back up the road to reclaim my wingmirrors.
