chrisda Posted January 20, 2005 Share Posted January 20, 2005 HI there... Today when I should turn off my mkiv then the car just keeped going.. I took the key away.. I also took away the battery on the car and everything just still going well and everything is working.. The generator must be strong if it should keep the whole car with power... And that is to start the car.. once it is running, it just charges the battery... It also helps on the odd occasion there is spike, in theory there should always be excess current otherwise your battery would run flat with day to day driving... Dave I class this as a normal annual running cost (£55) for a new one each year. Halfrauds HCB005 is a better spec than the Toyota issued battery.
