how do you remove the abs sensor from the rear hub?

They are often corroded in, and removing them knackers them. Have a contingency plan in case this happens as the ABS won't work with a missing or failed sensor. You can still drive the car, but no ABS operational.

got this sorted now i fed the cable down from the interior

I should have said about the corrosion factor...sorry.

If you havent already fitted the new one what I have done in the past to prevent a new one from corroding in over time is to smear Copaslip carefully around the press fit face (NOT the end that reads the teeth!!)

and that has totally prevented seizure the next time I needed to remove it :)
