Tigger
Mine were in KMH. I now have them in MPH, but you will still need to read it in KMP unless you have the speed-o converted.
hadyn
my odo reads in kms and my speedo dials are in mph upto 110mph. I suspect mine is still calibrated to kms, but has a mph dial stuck on over the original dial to give an mph readout
Tigger
That would be correct. You would still have to read 80mph is 50kmh, (80kmh is 50mph) for example. So you’re not going as fast as you think.
SilverMachine
Hi , i need some help with my speed dials, they are in kmph so i wanted to change them to miles, so does anyine know the best place to get them from and what other technical difficulty's i may face while changing them Speak to Paul E about some El-Glo dials (very nice - about £130 with a converter that changes the glow from blue to green). Easy to fit! Failing that, you could always put sticky dots where the obvious mph speeds are over your Km/h dials as a quick fix: 48Km/h = 30mph 64Km/h = 40mph 80Km/h = 50mph 112Km/h = 70mph I'm not prepared to covert the rest over 70mph as I don't - 160Km/h - condone - 100mph - speeding! Hope it helps you in the meantime. Gaz
SimonB
Just buy a convertor from Pete Betts (aka Thor), wire it in and stick a MPH sticker over where it says kph. You can convert your odo to count up in miles or leave it, and you will also delimit the car. Do a search, there's loads of info on here. REDFLASH
hi thanks everyone for the help , but is there any other way around in changing the reading apart from opening the dash because i do not want to open it myself because might not fit it back properly . i have just accidently took off the silver round ring off the speedometre, so do i just get another dial just reading MPH and stick it over it , would that be better ??? ty
