Chris Wilson
Forgot to tape Grand Designs on Saturday night. Now it may be I missed a load of tosh, but I would like to watch the episode as I like Gothic architecture and the people were supposedly building a Gothic style house. How can I get to view this without a huge amount of hassle? Cheers.

Chris Wilson
Ah, sorry, posted first, looked after. It says it isn't available for my platform, presumably because i use Windows 2000 still? Is there a way around it? Cheers.
RedM
Chris, I'll record it for you tonight and post it off in the morning. You aren't still on Betamax or the like are you?
Chris Wilson
Chris, I'll record it for you tonight and post it off in the morning. You aren't still on Betamax or the like are you? Wow, that's very kind of you Good question though, I can play DVD's on the PC, but use VHS to record our none flat screen TV programmes Watching it on the PC is perfectly fine, it's probably rubbish, but it's an unusual subject that I have never seen covered before. Thanks again!! If it doesn't work out, you forget or whatever, no problem, but if it does work I am very grateful to you.
RedM
I can't record TV to DVD so good ol' VHS it shall be. I have your address already so all is good.

far
it was kinda ok but they could have made the windows bigger and WTF was with the little goblins for 400 smackers each? I did like the staircase but the rooms were a bit pokey!
RedM
Chris hasn't seen it yet. Don't spoil it for him.
Chris Wilson
I am not expecting Harlaxton Manor, it's OK:) (My favourite bit of English folly architecture, and a a lesson in how the aristocracy could do things like this given a "proper" budget). http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=j0bke7mPTlY&feature=related
RedM
Chris, All taped and packaged up. I forgot to put any identifying info with it so I've written 'Grand Designs' on the address label. I'll ask my better half to post it tomorrow.
Rob
Don't be too disappointed Chris, but it really is shite. I feel that CH4 did it purely as a talking point, wherein McCloud never really slags the whole concept but leaves it to the viewer to decide themselves. Awful house, awful people. Just curious as to what 400K got them
