P reg, White, 1.6l VW Golf 'CL - a good honest car!

A friend of mine was recently sent to America for 2 years with work and thus doesn't need his car any more - so just before he departed, he signed it over to me to sell on his behalf. A nice little runaround for someone...

basic Features:

  • P reg - 1996
  • 1.6l engine (petrol)
  • Central locking
  • Alarm & Immobiliser
  • Electric windows all round
  • Driver airbag
  • Face-off Sony radio/tape head unit with 10 disk CD changer in the boot.
  • Split rear seats fold flat for extra load space if required

MOT'd until Oct, taxed until the end of May.

Just under 110,000 miles on the clock but it starts, runs & drives perfectly. The previous owner was a mechanic for a single seater team in a previous life and has always looked after the car very well - as a consequence there are no issues with this car - any inspection welcome!

Exterior:

There are a few cosmetic rust spots, but nothing to worry about and they'd be easily addressed if you felt the need. The steel rims are tatty, but more importantly there is plenty of tread on the front tyres and the rears look almost new.

Interior:

Almost as new! Apart from wear & tear on the drivers floor mat there really isn't anything to report. Like I say; it's a good honest car!

It's going in the local free ads this week for £850 and if it's still here after that then I'll shove it on the Autotrader website - but you lot can have a discount. (Looking on Autotrader similar age/spec/miles cars within 40 miles of me start at about £1k.)

A few pics follow, but apart from that there isn't much more to say! Any questions, just shout. :)
