AeroMatt
I've bought an R134a recharge kit as my a/c struggles to blow cool air, yet alone the icy blasts I get with other cars. I've done some research and found out which pressures the system requires, which type of refridgerant and how much etc. The only problem now is finding the low pressure valve so I can fill the system! Can someone tell me where to find it? Thanks,

Soonto_HAS_soop
Are you talking about the valve that is at the front of the engine bay that gets covered by those FMIC top plates?? Open the bonnet and look just above the Toyota badge, it is there with a little window. Could always do the aircon diagnostics first though. Guest Usmann A
Are you using electronic weighing scales? or a full recharge kit with pump?,this type of unit is on a timer, costs a few tho. Id normally just bulk charge liquid refrigerant into the high side, than accuratley measure up backpressue from the low side(charging gas of course) HTH
richardharmon
The low side is definitely on the passenger side, near the bulkhead. I re-charged mine recently after having to replace the condenser unit. Personally I like to charge the system from the low side.
richardharmon
Out of interest, how much did the R134a recharge kit cost you and what did it include? I just bought 9.6Kg of R134a and the correct adaptors, cost me about £90. I don't care about having to re-charge it again now, got plenty of gas!
