removing the rocker cover

Just got a set of powder coated covers through and going to swop them over but does the cover hold the cams in place at all? just i know that in some cars the cover holds the cams in place and everything just springs out of place when you remove the cover lol . . . nearly forgot its a 94 n/a if that makes any difference ;)

i have never come across any car/engine were the cover holds the cams together, so i'm sure you should be ok;)

lol cheers for the help i just had to check as i have worked on cars before where just removing the cam cover ( ;) ) has had the cams spring out and required re-timing. Not having done a 2jz before i thought it better to ask first :D

 

Wow. Cam cover holding the cams in eh?

Sounds a bit of a weird engine that one :eyebrows::D

tell me about it all hell broke lose nearly ducked for cover when things started moving lol Only had it the once think it could be a renault thing the french always like to spice things up a little ;)

Never had it since but wanted to double check just in case thanks for the help guys :thumbs:
