R Black
I paid £3k on the nose for mine. The Guy was a Presteige car dealer and took the Supra in PX for a Merc. To him it was "a shitty old Toyota........" and he didn't even know it was a twin turbo or UK spec!!! It had a noisy diff and a few dents/scratches, but nothing major body wise and mechanically everything was recently done. As for medal etcs, my shiny UK spec Supra is more than enough of a medal for me! Especally for the price of a Corolla...... No need to spend large sums to get a Supra, if you don't mind waiting, looking alot, and being quick. I viewed mine (not a UK spec though) on a thursday bought it on the friday, before it came out in Autotrader. It would be nice if Supra's were worth a lot, but they're not, lots of imports have come in/are coming in, so they're not that rare, hence price drop as well as they're not frugal. I wasn't looking for a supra when i come across the advert for my one. I had just sold my MR2, Corolla GTi and my Mini and i had £5k to spend on a landcruiser Amazon (I thought Supra's were out of my price range). I did have to eventually replace the Diff, and I have just renewed the rear shocks and a couple of brake pipes, but all in all I think my Supra is as good as any low millage example costing more than twice the money i paid. Guest dangerousandy
Nothing worse than a uk auto J-spec NA auto with vinyl back seat, saggy cloth front seats, plastic headlights, no history, extortionate insurance premiums and getting burnt off from the lights by my little Starlet Turbo!!!! I'm very happy with my extremely fast UK auto thank you very much!!!
