Havard
Theres a 1 in 2,000,000 chance it will hit an area populated with intelligent life. So, if any of you are worried, ferries run to the Isle of Wight every half hour. You kill me Ewen....

Tricky-Ricky
Wouldn't the satellite burn up on re-entry? Yeah! they do, doubt anything will make it down, if it coming down in the UK area its worth looking out for as it makes quite a firework display, saw one come down in the sixty's when i was a kid. carl0s
Pentagon officials are quoted as saying they want to fire a missile from a US Navy ship to destroy the satellite before it enters the atmosphere. Hmm. You wouldn't have thought they'd have tested their missiles out of the atmosphere, would you?
Wez
Hmm. You wouldn't have thought they'd have tested their missiles out of the atmosphere, would you? Your joking right, the US spent years testing nukes etc out of atmos and just inside. Wasnt one of the large blackouts in the US from a nukes EMP in the outer atmos? colsoop
If the worlds super powers want to fight in space then surely thats better than down here The problem is a lot of the technology we rely on is actually military based. Gps is military run. A pissing contest in space is no big deal but if a missile can be flown in to space and hit a target then is there a place on earth that a missile can't reach ?
