TazUK
Every time I open and close the door, the drivers side window doesn't sit properly against the seal. If I'm outside the car, I can just push it back into place, but from inside I need to open and close window to seal it. Not only is this annoying (esp. from the sound of howling wind as you drive), but you can also easily pull the window out from the door seal, making it easier to get in. Anyone else ever had this problem? Taz.
Dale B
Ive had it on my old Merc coupe, not the soop. I had to replace the door seals as they has "swollen" over time.
stt
If the glass is sitting too high then it possible to adjust the glass to suit the rubber,The glass should just miss the top lip of the rubber when closing so that as it pushes against the rubber it should straighten up and seal against the top lip
Scoboblio
I've got this exact same problem, I think it's due to someone removing the doors at some point (for alarm fitting perhaps?) and not aligning them properly when they put them back on. Keep meaning to get it sorted. If I close it from the outside with a push on the window it shuts perfectly, just a bit of a PITA, especially when the passenger's side door is too low when it closes too I was a bit confused when I first got the car.... both my friends 406 coupe and his dad's TVR both have automatic electric windows, which wind the window down half an inch or so when you open the door, and back up again when you shut it.... seems a much better way of doing things IMO.
