Ian C
Keep yer Camaro The Challenger is the first car I've clapped eyes on since seeing a Supra all those years ago and gone "I want one of those. Now." I don't think it's been toned down at all and it's the antithesis of every other tedious angular "new edge" design copied and shovelled out by everyone else. It looks evil. eeeeeeebil! Gotta be in bright orange as well There is already a performance cam, intake, exhaust headers, and exhaust available for the 6.1hemi, mmmm -Ian

(One regular size headlight each side) I seem to remember the taillights being different to those too.
Konrad
Why they touched lights I do not like it now, it looks like retarded brother of concept one

marbleapple
Are they on sale in the US now or are the pics just of a show car? I prefered the old lights.
Chris Wilson
I hate to admit it, but the new Challenger is attractive in an American sort of OTT way, but wouldn't it look a lot better, as well as being much more practical, with a front bumper? R Black
It seems to have a high stance, i'm sure that could be changed.

ozz
Beautiful car that, awesome sound. I really want a mustang but couldn't live with LHD - this thing looks similar to the Mustang but I don't think its quite got the looks. Certainly got the sound though. JamieP
Not as good as the prototype imo, needs bigger wheels and a lower stance:cool:
ozz
Not as good as the prototype imo, needs bigger wheels and a lower stance:cool: I'd agree with that - the one at the start of this thread really made me want one when they come out, if you can get them for 25k then thats a great price as I can't find a RHD mustang for anywhere near that. Still, not like many of us could afford to run one with petrol the way it is - just put £30 (super unleaded) in my Zed and the needle has hardly raised at all. JamieP
People say that about the V8's but i dont think mine is to bad, with the supercharger i average 18 mpg and i dont use the motorway much, lot better than my supra ever was on fuel:)
R Black
If you can run a TT a V8 should'nt be any problem

Homer
Found some misc. pics of the Challenger The new Challenger is very nice, but for less money I'd prefer the original (see pic). One thing that bugs me is the car from 1970 has MORE power and torque than the modern version, albeit, a little bit slower. Okay it's got better fuel economy, but we really should have expected more in nearly 45 years of engine development. Just look whats happened to the motors from the japanese market for a comparision. On a trip to France/Germany, I average around 30mpg for 2 weeks. That included some 'spirited' driving on the autobahn and getting stuck in traffic twice in one day in Stuttgart for a total of about 3 hours. In the Supe, I might get a best tank of around 26 to 27mpg, but over the whole trip, average would be 23ish. Hopefully the LS2 will be as good when I get it!
