rob wild
Already mapped for your car? Forget it mate, it doesn't work like that. The best you could do is buy an ecu and ask the garage/person that is going todo the map to provide you with a base map for off boost driving so you can drive the car to the dyno. Guest daz 6576
so if i buy an aftermarket ecu and plugged it up it would need a base map. how do you put the base map on to the ecu to get it to the dyno sorry can you explain this in a bit more detail. rob wild
Well again are you looking for a standalone or piggy back? Do you know the difference? When i installed my EMU (piggyback) I just loaded a base map onto the EMU via a usb cable connected to my laptop and the Greddy software.
Guest daz 6576
how much are the piggyback units
rob wild
They range tbh but the most popular are the MAP ecu which you can buy for around $400 (usd) http://www.powerhouseracing.com/Templates/frmtemplateM7.asp?SubFolderID=162&SearchYN=N Or the Greddy Emanage which is alittle more about £400 ish http://www.mohdparts.com/emanage/
Paul Whiffin
I've got a brand new Emanage blue for £150, that would work if you want to do it cheaply. You'll also need injector/igntion looms and pressure sensor if you want to do it properly. Ta
