Of course if it wasn't for the crappy help desk software we use and the crap fact that VMWare don't provide a Linux version of the Virtual Infrastructure Client then I wouldn't even need to use windows in the first place. It's exactly that yes, this VirtualBox solution is much nicer as it's seamless, you can just run applications right on your Linux desktop rather than running the virtual machine either in a window or over a remote desktop connection.
