Mine was a brown Y reg fiesta van with a mahoosive crack in the windscreen, no handbrake (I mean NO handbrake - just a hole where it used to be ) and it was fantastic fun! Needless to say - the MOT centre found this quite amusing...

Fond memories!

mate, did u got your supra from the import company in Yorkshire?

Capri 1600L :(

Then VW Scirocco

Escort XR3i

Escort Turbo (from New)

Toyota MR2 (from New)

Toyota Celica 2L GT (new)

And then the Supra..........about 6yrs old when I got it but I lost a fortune on the last three through depreciation and as such the Supra has been one of the most economical despite spending on mods etc.

My Grandfather gave me his P reg (1976) Renault 12 when he stopped driving. That was in 1988 when I passed my test. What a car! 1.3 and could manage 90mph with a following wind the only problem being the front end went very light at that speed. I think i paid about £190 for insurance on it. Scary to think that was 17 years ago

(1994) Money Pit number 1: A 1.3litre Lancia Delta fake HF Turbo (with HF Turbo interior, Sideskirts, Alloys, Resprayed in York Verde Mettalic Green, the lot even the Turbo dash with Economy Vaccum guage pipe rigged up to the turbo guage so when i came on boost i'd be drinking man!(would rest on full boost with igntion off still fooled a few school day punters though!)

(1996) Money Pit number 2: An Uno Turbo which i must say was the most fun for the least amount of money ever! Paid peanuts for her, bleed valve and disconnected overboost switch, wehaaay! (everything was so simple back then!) + HF Turbo rims, MOMO Steering wheel and numerous boost hoses i kept splitting!

(1997) Money Pit number 3: (The biggest of them all so far!) A real Lancia Delta HF Turbo, with more bits and bobs thrown at it than i can even remember, also resprayed in Yorke Verde Metallic (damn i liked that colour), Chipped, 17's, Integrale bits left right and centre, it was quick but numerous driveshafts+CV Joints, 4gearboxes and an a replacement engine later couldn't bear to spend another penny on her flogged to some1 at work for a measly £500 who ironically did countless trips to Scotland from London in it with spending a penny on it. (it had rusted itself to bits however)

(2001) Nearly Money Pit number4: Finally got myself a Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16v Evo1, felt too similar (especially inside even though it was LHD) to driving the last moneypit in my life, got rid of her kinda quickly.

(2002) Brand new Fiesta Zetec S, Which i got with a 33% discount (which was meant to not cost me anything and still lost £3k in depreciation a year and a half later! When i flogged it and got the...

(2004) '96 J spec MKIV Supra TT- Black (Yippie!)

First few were all BL rubbish

Austin Metro - needed new gearbox @ 30K

Morris Ital (mildly disguised marina) - engine blew up within 3 weeks of being bought

1968 Austin Cambridge - best ever except supra - red leather bench seat, terminal rust everywhere, kingpins needing greased every 20 yards, top speed 60mph

Youth of today dont know how lucky they are with modern reliable cars (insert victor meldrew smilie)
