Pete
Actually, I've just been looking at a few of my old pics and it could be right. http://www.pbarfield.com/gallery/
TrevS
If he's near Telford I could perhaps see for you? Thanks for the offer but I guess like you lot said earlier, there is no guarentees that the colour will match my car so i guess the best bet is to actually take my car over and check it out for myself
JustGav
Here is a picture of my car I took at the weekend. You can hardly notice the colour difference from most angles but looking at the car straight on and its very obvious that the bumper doesn't match. Its driving me nuts, need to get it sorted ASAP Can't really see it in that photo... but you are probably better just getting the front bumper blown over rather than taken off and fitting a different one which will more than likely have the same issue. JustGav
It looks almost like some part has been previously resprayed... Either which way you go you will end up getting it paint matched, sprayed and blended. So you might as well save the £50 and just take the entire car to a decent spray guy. Pete
I've just realised something. Why did I go out in the rain with a torch when you own an RSP yourself?
TrevS
Just looking through my old pictures of my last sup. I noticed that the bonnet seemed to be a slightly different colour to the rest of the car on that one too, but you'd have had to looked hard to notice. Seems like these cars have a few issues over retaining their colour but probably no different to any car of the same age http://img455.imageshack.us/img455/2296/codieskid22ng7.jpg

The colour change occurs because of the difference of the material underneath. The paint basically ages differently on ureathane and metal. Even ferrous and non-ferrous metals can show differences. Not just supra's... any cars...
TrevS
I've just realised something. Why did I go out in the rain with a torch when you own an RSP yourself? lol, My car is up at my mums house at the moment in the midlands as I live in London so only get to drive it at the weekends etc. Moving back up to the midlands next month though to buy a house hence the reason I bought the car a few weeks ago. Needed a cheap runaround

Guigsy
when i had my quicksilver sprayed (bumpers, skirts, wings and roof) and you could tell in the correct light that the paint on the doors and bonnet were darker. I guess this was just that the paint wasnt fresh. once id gone over it with some wax and a few months had gone past it seemed to clear up. I would definately have it matched rather than risk another bumper which wont match and you will have to get a respray.
