JustGav
Instead of washer jets, why not have a look round, and see if you can get an integrated blade+jet system, and I'll have a look at the scrappie for you.

Nice thought, but nah, that'll mean unnecessary work - need something to plug the holes in the bonnet

Homer
Another little update (let me know if I'm boring you all with these ) 1) Steering column wiring had been hacked into on 4 points, before: http://img253.imageshack.us/img253/1298/columnwiringbeforebv6.th.jpg An after removing all the additional wiring, resoldering, shrink wrapping and refitting: http://img253.imageshack.us/img253/4485/columnwiringafterwc6.th.jpg 2) The ignition wiring was extensively chopped up. Most of the main wires had at least 3 other connections chopped in, the main live had 7 other feeds cut into it! before: http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/9271/ignitionwiringbeforeed6.th.jpg and after removing the wiring and resoldering (a bit tidier ): http://img253.imageshack.us/img253/94/ignitionwiringafterff3.th.jpg 3) Rewired where the alarm and other bits had been hacked into the rear wiring loom. Before (after removing the excess wires): http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/7332/rearloombeforefh6.th.jpg and after: http://img253.imageshack.us/img253/6803/rearloomafterwl1.th.jpg And finally, the wiring on the drivers side is back as it should be so the heating duct and lower panel can be refitted: http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/8180/driversfootwellcr8.th.jpg Getting there! http://img505.imageshack.us/img505/8717/cabinnewpt2.th.jpg Just need to finish the centre console wiring now, major job tomorrow is to add the chopped off heating console plugs back. This will be very time consuming! http://img505.imageshack.us/img505/2516/heatercontrolwiresqc6.th.jpg Also, huge thanks to Lukeyboy2k for dropping off the rear spoiler today FOC

Homer
Didn't get as much done today as I hoped, rewiring the heater control unit is rather time consuming and it's not as straight forward as I hoped! 2-3 more hours work in the week and it should be finished. I have the seats out of the loft now Great Is the carpet and other stuff ready? I can pick up almost any time Great work Darryl, very interesting watching this progress WRT rad upper stays, do you mean the black things that bolt on each side (that many people chrome), if so I've just bought some chrome ones from Col, you can have my old black ones. Schtuv
Looking at those pics, and comparing to the last pics I saw of that car, it doesn't change much http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=33274 Good luck with the build! Homer
Another little update (but one nightmare job completed).. The heater control wires which had been chopped off are now added back in using the plugs from the spare loom. Something like 60 wires needed reconnecting, which took the good part of a day The loom spliced back in: http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/1390/wiringduringxb9.th.jpg And tidied away, thats all the dash wiring sorted out now http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/6518/wiringfinishedfo8.th.jpg Ready to fit all the dash back in (once all the bits arrive) http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/6568/interiorwiringfinishedwn4.th.jpg Thats the wiring on the interior pretty much finished, only need to add a plug back in for the drivers seat (20 minute job) Hopefully picking up the rear seats and boot floor stuff from Wez in the next few days, then the radaiator, front bumper and full set of lights on Saturday from Big Blue, Jazz1 and P111ddy.
