ManwithSupra
Been having some recent issues wonder if anyone has come accross this i have done a search but i havent found anything, Basicly this is the issue, When i go and start the car after i have left it over night it starts within a few turns and all is lovely, after a short journey i had to stop for petrol, and after i had filled it up went to go and start it again, but the engine lept turning over then after about 8 or 9 turns its started but idled about 200rpm so i switched off and tried again in which case it started within 2 or 3 turns like normal.... i cant for my life think what the issue is, i have plenty of power so cant be compression issues as there is no lumpy feeling or misfiring, checked the water and the oil to see if the head gasket has gone but thats all ok, it does not burn oil so the piston rings seem fine, all i can do is put it down to the ingition system or fuel system, has anyone come accross this at all?? Chris Wilson
Could be a cam position sensor issue, check for fault codes. It will still start with one dead or poorly connected, I think, but would run oddly. Worth a try. Could be leaky injectors. Could all sorts of things... Chris Wilson
No idea, sorry, but they won't be cheap, maybe 60 to 100 UK pounds each?
