Toyota 4Runner '96-UK Manual

Recommended Posts

I'm selling my daily driver after upgrading to a few year old Mitsubishi Warrior.

Details: Toyota 4Runner 3.0 Litre Turbo Diesel

Very good condition, Dark Green metallic with a hint of a pearlescent finish. never let me down and starts first time every day.

1996, 88,000 miles

5 Speed manual with 2wd and 4wd High/Low (UK spec-manuals are rare)

Mot until August/Sept (will check)

Taxed until October

Electric windows, mirrors, central locking

Aftermarket alloys in perfect condition with BF Goodrich A/T tyres all round (Fitted less than a year ago)

Toyota front valance with fogs/spots fitted, these lights have beenreplace with new in the last year.

Headlight protectors

Kenwood CD/Tuner with Autochanger

Tilt/Slide electric sunroof

Towbar with twin electrics, not used by me, no sagging of rear springs.

Both batteries only a year old (yes they have two !!)

New rear and main centre part of exhaust in last 6 mths

Front brakes overhall, new caliper and pads/discs

This truck has served me well for just over a year as a daily driver, great in snow and so practical with a massive load area. She pulls very well, massive torque, cheap to insure as it's a UK version and cheap to tax (standard £180 odd)

I'm looking for £3950 OVNO as I've done all the jobs on her in the last year ( I paid £4500 and have spent at least £1000 getting all the little 'niggles' sorted)

Loads of paperwork and history.

PM me or e-mail [email protected]

Cheers, Paul

Bump.

I've clay barred, machine polished and waxed this at the weekend and it puts my other cars to shame now:(

Wish I'd one it a year ago as it looks so good ! Need to get rid as we've got 4 Cars in total and it's beginning to look like a car lot out the front:d

Certainly a nice looking motor and good price:)

Cheers mate, it's a good solid motor and looks the part too. Yes you can get Surfs cheaper but most have little or no history and need alot of cash getting them up to this standard.

Another thing is that the Surfs have a crappy 'A' frame with spare mounted on it on the back tailgate, this then hinges out to open the rear door ! The 4Runner on the other hand has a rear electric window that goes down with the lower half of the rear door hinging down (as per Range Rover) and the spare is under slung at the back. A much better design and look and unique to the UK 4Runner.

Great motors and great price but I must correct you on the above as I have a j-spec surf on an M reg with underslung spare electric window and down hinging door. I will agree however it is a much better design and the tailgate is great for sitting on when camping or at car events as I use mine to pull the trailer with the supe on and it never misses a beat great space and classic looking 4x4.

Good luck with the sale.

Cheers mate and I stand corrected that some of the Surfs may have the underslung spare;)

Many of the ones I've seen have that apalling 'A' frame with a side opening rear door though. As you say they are great for sitting on when out and about and I love the look of them compared to the later ones.

Now on Autotrader ( well, when they load it on).

It's on there for £3650 but I'll accept ***£3500*** from anyone on here ;)

You'll struggle to find one in the condition this is in and with the items I've replaced in the last 6mths/year.
