not blown turbos then?> engine is running fine, no engine check light, everything else seems ok.

You usually know when a turbo blows, as the turbine exits the exhaust with a bang and a big cloud of smoke. A blown IC hose is a much more common occurrence.

I think i've read that one of the intercooler pipes is susceptable to popping off? I'm sure someone here knows for sure.

***SORRY DID'NT SEE THE DUPLICATE POST ***

i have checked everything this morning. it ticks over fine and when i rev it just normal exhaust gas coming out of back , no blue or black smoke.

last time the intercooler pipe came off the turbos whistled away but this time the turbos arnt even coming on.

any more thoughts before spend another hour looking for split pipes etc.

have you fmic or smic, it sounds like you have a massive air leak if your getting no positive boost at all, if not your tubo,s have gone, check in your tailpipe for any tell tale signs, small metal shards,

hi gaz , stuck my arm in the back box just carbon no metal shards.

is there any pipes that i need to check that are out of sight, that i might have missed?

all the intercooler pipes seem to be in tact.

Check the intercooler pipe that is down the side of the radiator, between the rad and the battery but lower than the battery. That's where they often pop off if you're running more boost than stock.

The other place is inside the wing on the drivers side, where the pipe goes through the inner wing and connects to the SMIC. Taking the driver's side headlight out might help you see if the problem is there. Else you'll have to take the wheel arch lining out to have a look.

Was it boosting then you just lost all power?

Did you get a cloud of black smoke out the back when it went?

no was doing 70 put my foot down and nothing. i can't figure out. i have negative boost pressure then it rises to 0 bar thats it. know turbos spinning, no smoke out the back or anything. no management light on or anything. been round at my mates garage today and took the intercooler pipes off checked them and replaced them but found nothing.

are there any wires i need to check going to any solonoids or anything?

When i had my S2, someone on that forum designed a plug that fitted into one of the disconnected turbo hoses, it had a valve on it so you could connect a air hose on it or foot pump, so you could hear where the leak was coming from, without the engine running, is there such a thing for the Sup?

I have seen a device used at Marlin Motorsport on my single that fitted over the turbo inlet and air is passed through this and you listen for air escaping, would be difficult with the twin turo set up though

can you hear the turbos spooling (whistle) when your driving?? whats the boost gauge you have and where in the engine is the pressure feed taken from?

no you cant hear anything. last week when the intercooler pipe came off it sounded like that but this time the turbos arnt spinning at all, and my dump valve has stopped working. it's really pissing me off now cos i have checked all the hoses twice. is there anything electrical that needs checking? blitz boost gauge with profec b digital meter plumbed in on same line.

can't check for bits of turbo in my exhaust cos i still have the 1st cat on. they woudlnt have got past that.

Alright mate, take the 1st cat off and see if you have bits of your turbos in there, that'll soon tell you if your turbos are blown.
