osso
No idea why you've put UK spec, but I would definitely consider the MR2 Rev3 GT Turbo you'll get a nice example for 4 grand
shaf
mr2 turbo, very quick and great fun. i sold my last one a couple of weeks ago
dr_blackman
Would you go from a Supra to an MR2? out of interest. Possibly mate, i've been made redundant and the Supra is quite a drain on funds at the mo. Saying that i'd probably want the turbo version which would probably end up costing me about the same or more
TopgunTT
Has to be a MR2

Jazzy
MR2 without a doubt! I've got a Rev2 Turbo T-Bar, running around 260ish bhp and it's a really fun car Almost a shame I'm selling it, but I think it's replacement is upto the job
Guest dangerousandy
and i'll think you'll have a hard time finding an FTO on the stick!! most are self-shifters

Gaz6002
MR2. Not only a better car but will let her learn to drive a real car The chassis on the MR2 makes for some good fun.
bigcol
i have to say FTO only because i cant fit in an mr2:d
Safely Insured
The FTO is a nice looking car in my opinion, we have one as our current show car... unfortunately it is an auto... it is heavy, front wheel drive and SLOW, really slow. I have a (converted) Mk1 Mr2 Turbo as my summer car and it is sooooo much better to drive. Handles on rails and would give a lot of you Supra boys some serious problems... A Mk2 MR2 NA is still a big heavy car and is underpowered in NA guise unless you find a late beams engined one. My mum had a REV 3 which I found wasn't very nice to drive and I was just gagging to get back in my Mk1 after just one day of driving it. I'd take the MR2 over the FTO but it might be worth considering other cars as well? Ollie Sky Insurance
garetheves
Cat...Pigeons etc but why not get an NA Supra. Could easily get a manual for the 4k budget.

broomie
the Supra's are to big for her im affraid & Celica's are just plain UGLY!
Chris Wilson
Fresh import, none T top MR2. FTO's are lemons, albeit they handle fairly well. Working on them is even more of a nightmare than an MR2

Guest dangerousandy
the Supra's are to big for her im affraid & Celica's are just plain UGLY! er, depends on what your tastes are - I quite like the look of ALL Celica's, not too keen on the last generation though. And in any case, a Celica is a million times better looking than an FTO!!!

Scott
Oh UK model cool! MR2's are really fun to drive. The MK1 is even more fun believe it or not. Tubby can be a little frightening from time to time. The throttle response is unreal. Wouldn't trade it for my sup though. Scott =op
