Jake
Hi Bobby, the lights themselves are a straight swap. You may need two bulbs (I forget whether it was the highbeam or dipped) but other than that, no problem. It only takes 10 mins to change them over. Jake
Don't forget to ask for a discount. They can give you at least 10% if they want to.

Toms Supra
what about the black ones?
Soonto_HAS_soop
As I have a facelift soop with the grey backed lights, does anyone know if the UK lights will fit the facelift with the standard wiring, as a temporary fix whilst I refurbished the insides of my facelift lights?? Then I want to change the lenses over from plastic to glass. Will they fit as a temporary measure?? I'm sure that the question has been answered but I couldn't find anything and didn't want to start a new thread. Cheers
Jake
I don't know if the UK lens would fit the facelift shell but I don't think it would look very good anyway because the UK spec lights have that patterned glass whereas the facelifts have a (for the most part) smooth lens which allows you to see the interior of the light without distortion. Toms Supra
I wonder how much the black face lift ones are down toyota?
JamesC
Does anyone know how you de-line headlights like this?? Or know if its hard to do?
TRD3000GT
yes UK glass would fit inside the faclift light hole. I have them and have had them painted as well inside because I did not like the plastic lenses!
mr_maj
Ive been down to my local toyota dealer and have been quoted £130+vat for each one which is approx £300 for the pair. Does anyone have a pic of the UK spec glass one? I dont really want a 'frosted' or 'lined' type of lens but rather a clear one as JamesC has shown in the picture. And i second JamesC's question of how it can be done??
Ambrose7
is it poss to get yellow glass for the sup lights?

Ambrose7
im not a fan of yellow ones either on most cars, but i think it might look good as my wheels are gold.
mr_maj
You can get the headlights to appear yellow with some xenon bulbs i think its the 4000K ones

mr_maj
Thanks guys! I have to say they look ALOT better than I thought they would! I think i'll buy a pair, can anyone advise on how to get that 10% discount from the main dealers?? I tried when inquiring about them but they were not having it! Well in anycase from seeing those pictures they are easily worth the £300.
Toms Supra
merkc look like uk ones where as absxxxx looks like late spec black ones? there is one black one here on ebay, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4520638370&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT I am right though in saying late spec are black and UK clear glass? mr_maj
I think absxxx and merckx 's are both the same UK - glass type, the ones that dealers sell for 127.17 + VAT. The ones on ebay look like some other type? Must be jspec ones.
