spiderpigcity
Got my car on the dyno today at the scooby clinic in chesterfield. after using blocks of wood to drive it up onto the dyno we where away. Spec before 1st dyno:- 95 j spec tt auto hks coil overs allround 18 inch alloys 265,35,18 rears 245,40,18 front veilside body kit bomex front bumper hks cams hks intercooler hks dump valve hks fcd greddy profec b (switched off for this run) boosting at 1 bar 2nd decat 1st cat still in place full 4 inch hks cat back race system normal ngk plugs (didn't change them for this run) uk turbos full hks engine rebuild with studded head and hks gaskets all round hks injectors standard denso fuel pump oil temp gauge water temp gauge oil pressure gauge boost gauge hks flowmaster induction kit modified viscuss fan silcone hoses allround silcone radiator hoses el glow dials uk headlights front tein strutt brace dyno was running with profec b switched off running 0.9 tp 1.0 bar boost 352 bhp at the flywheel 292 bhp at the rear wheels andy at the scooby clinic said it was running a tadge lean. he said that was more than likley down to the denso standard fuel pump. (i didn't have time to install it!) Spec for next week. same as above with the following mods:- PROFEC B running at 1.2 bar (tuned on dyno) walbro fuel pump installed ngk uridium plugs 1st decat pipe installed pull the trac fuse andy said that the cams will come into their own at 1.2 bar and he reckons with the above mods next week he should be expecting 400 bhp+ at the flywheel. i will post the results here next week! regards matt :D:Dbhp at rear wheels.pdfbhp at flywheel.pdf

Homer
A very realistic result It might be worth investing in an AFR and/or EGT gauge as she appears to be a little on the lean side during 2nd turbo spool and for the next 2krpm

spiderpigcity
Nice Was Pat there as well? what does he look like? there was a guy called kev, he owns it i think. nice bunch of guys. they are very helpfull and they seem to know their stuff. kevs scooby 22b has been running 500bhp for the last 20k miles. a big word of caution, if you have a low car like me, make sure you drive very slowly going up to the farm. the road is crap and you can easy take your front spoiler off. it's ok if you takr your time. Wez
Pat can normally be found working around the dyno area but he isnt there all the time, big fella that does most of the mapping Yeah the road is interesting, I honestly thought I had taken a wrong turn on the way there. what does he look like? there was a guy called kev, he owns it i think. nice bunch of guys. they are very helpfull and they seem to know their stuff. kevs scooby 22b has been running 500bhp for the last 20k miles. a big word of caution, if you have a low car like me, make sure you drive very slowly going up to the farm. the road is crap and you can easy take your front spoiler off. it's ok if you takr your time. Ryan.G
Nice results chap But get those AFR's double checked as it is very lean! That lean with the first cat in place will be producing some extreme exhaust gas heat. I mapped a similar spec'd car and had to keep the AFR around 11.2:1 with the 1st cat in place just to keep the EGT's to a safe limit. Ryan
adam bell
my mate took his 22b there and pat messed his gems ecu map up,it was running like a bag of spanners. they tried to run to much power through the standard turbo, last week he had to take it somewhere else to get it sorted. Wez
Interesting. you sure it was Pat who mapped it as I think they have more than one mapper.
spiderpigcity
nice to hear from you ryan. i am getting 1st cat off on monday, (full decat then) i have fitted the walbro pump this afternoon, and installed the new ngks. i will be taking it back up to chesterfield next week for the boost controller to be set up properly on the rolling road. Wez
boost controller to be set up properly on the rolling road. Boost controllers normally are better setup on the road as the dyno doesnt always give accurate road loading, they sometimes over boost on the road after.
