RedSZ
Hi My new Supra came with disgusting rear sunvisor thingy - appears to be a genuine toyota accessory but looks v. crap. Tried to remove it yesterday, and was Ok with removing all screws but found its glued/stuck to rear hatch too. How can i get it off without f**ing up the paintwork? Thanks PS must change my name as sold the red SZ!
MichaelG
Alright mate mine had one of these too....... If you remove the screws, top and underneath, this will let u remove the brackets. and if u gently prise the sun visor upwards, u will find that the sticky foam tape underneath it will just split apart and separate. You will however have some tape left on your paintwork. I run a valeting company with my dad, and i used some Tar and Glue remover, and picked it off, its a slow process, but once you have the most of it off, you can T-Cut off the residue and polish over that when done........good as new ! I would do it for you but your probably miles from Aberdeen lol !! If you need i can send you down some proper quality tar and glue remover, to soften the tape stuff. If your not wanting the rear spoiler, let me know and i will take it off you, i broke mine after i took it off when i stood on it and cracked it, so couldnt put it back on i only took it off to clean underneath it too !! GRRR ! Will gladly trade u some cleaning stuff you need, polish, tar and glue etc, for it or give u what u want. Let me know mate Michael

merckx
I wouldn't pull too hard, get some fishing line or strong thread and use it in a sawing action to cut through the adhesive.
