The kids do what they like when they like, If they dont want to be in the lesson they walk out and nothing is done. Teachers will repremand them and the kids say"Yeah, and? What the f**k can you do?" This is 2nd year kids and upwards to teachers! They have no control over the kids and they are out of control, This is 80% of them, This is the future generation. We are all F**ked! Have a look for a BBC documentary entitled "The Trap", while focusing mainly on the Americans, part 2 has a look at the effects New Labour has had on this country, effectively strengthening and widening the social class divide. I seem to remember in the 1960’s the problem was drugs, 1980’s the problem was something to do with miners, 1990’s it was IRA... today it is kids with knives. Things change. I am sorry but that is tosh. How the hell can compare today's increasing knife problem, increasing gun crime and increasing anti social behaviour with that of the miners strike and the IRA bombings? That's just silly. And in case you haven't noticed but the drugs problem in the 60's is now far worse with many more associated crimes than then. What about the vast majority of members who haven't contributed to this thread? There isn't a simple yes/no answer to this, it's all about opinions . When you switch the news on or buy a newspaper they always focus their attention on bad things, I don't recall it being any better 20 years ago.
