michael
Is that all they cost these days I bought a brand new one back in '96, broom yellow - I loved that car, it was so quick compared to the stuff my mates had, unreliable as hell but quick when it worked I'm tempted to pick one up as a toy if they are that cheap, yours was in great condition by the looks of it. Duffers
What do those Punto's take? Are they triple A's? Only messin!
michael
Mine got hit from behind the week I got it, Fiat had it for over a month for fairly minor repairs, every since then it was weird, engine would cut out all the time - they replaced bits, it went again, they replaced the same thing it went again.... 2 ECUs, loads of sensors, set of shocks in 2 months, bonnet respray due to original paint being poor and a black hair under the top coat, paint peeled off bumper, they resprayed it the wrong shade of yellow..... twice..... I still loved it though I reckon I only drove it for 50% of the time I owned it, the rest was courtesy cars - quite good fun swapping them every few days, I got a 20v Coupe from them for a weekend once and a Bravo HGT which I took up to Newcastle - the electric window switch fell inside the door and I couldn't put the window up in a massive storm.... joy I've got another Punto sat outside now, number 3 since I got an EL 6 Speed in '94, the newer one seems a lot better but it needs more power, 50mpg is nice though I guess my GT was a Friday afternoon car, a neighbour an L plater the same colour as yours and had no problems, he traded it for a 145 Cloverleaf though, he regretted it
michael
What do those Punto's take? Are they triple A's? Only messin! LOL - they are quite nippy so watch out I seem to remember one of the mags quoting it as being quicker than a 355 at 50>70 in a certain gear, it was 0.1 of a second or something and a daft gear where the 355 is probably totally out of it's powerband but it was good for pub bragging
Adam Kindness
165bhp and 190lb/ft batteries 1/4mile in 14.7 at 97mph... Great wee thing
Duffers
I took one of my old cars to Kwikfiit once in my work lunchtime (yes, i was young and stupid) the mechanic dropped me off back at work in a totally wrecked looking Fiat Uno. I didn't know they did a turbo version and that little heap was like sh1t off a shovel! Jesus Christ it was quick! I was shocked! :eek2:
