CJ
Should there be a time limit on calling a post a repost. As an example, should anything previously posted over 12 months ago be OK and not called a repost? Or, should we let things stand as they are as otherwise Michael becomes redundant

supradriver
Some times a post may be repeated because the person posting may not fined any thing on the subject they would like too post. There is so much on this site you could spend ages looking through too fined what you are looking for.
CJ
I refute your alleged repost posts as I feel my post is not about discussing reposts per se but more a post about the length of time that should elapse before an original post can be copied and thus called a repost. merckx
I don't call "Repost" anymore as I've come to realise that not everyone would've seen the topic when it was originally posted. I just leave it be and don't spoil the thread.

MrRalphMan
Unless it's 'I've just tripped over the goat' type thread. Then it should be 'Sorry if this is stupid'
supradriver
Agree, I now start a new thread with 'sorry if this is repost' as nearly everything of interest has been covered before. I think a lot of people will agree too I don’t understand why some people get so angry and have to ruin a thread just because it’s a repost, By ether having a go at the person who posted the thread or just generally being antisocial
Class One
I think we informally agreed a month, and if repost was called then a link to the original post be posted. Might be a repost though.

RedM
While I'm as guilty of calling Repost as many others I do think it's become a bit much. It may not occur to people to search for everything they think of posting and, y'know, sometimes you can search and still not turn anything up. With a full moderating team covering the forum over a wider part of the day there might perhaps be a way to cut down on this. Two threads about the same thing? Why not just merge them with a little note to explain why.
Suprash
To be honest if I posting something I just cant be arsed to search and trawl through thread after thread, if you lot have seen it first then big deal, I aint bothered if people post repost........I know there will always be a few that would have missed it the first time around.....
