Sandy-m2
is that a standard thing needing to add them with the reverse version?
supra steveo
i dont know you could always just remove the green things off the bulbs and keep the bulbs in and just scrape some of the green stuff covering the curcuits on the back of the dial cluster and solder it to that
Mcgoo
I haven't had a chance to sort this yet, but i'm sure putting leds into to bulb holes will work well. See Si's (Heckler on here) website. If I was to fit these again, I would connect the El power supply to the +ve and-ve feed to the dial cluster and leave the original bulbs in place. When you stick the El dials over the original dials, I dont believe any light will get through but the needles will still illuminate. I wouldn't do that - as the feed to dial cluster is variable (dimmer), I bet EL dial controller requires a 12v feed.
Sandy-m2
So Heckler what do you think the best way to do this is then? what I am really looking for is a bright white font on my dials and i hope that el-glo could do this. heckler
I'm not with it, with EL dials. I take it you want a white font at night? or during the day? I guess EL dial can do it...
Sandy-m2
yeah, i have a gauge that has a really bright white font at night (lights on) so wanted to try and get the rest of the dash matching that. Kindof link these(but facelift)... http://lh6.google.com/sandy1macdonald/R6GoRGhsAYI/AAAAAAAAAsI/tisaqycjVp4/s400/DSC03242.jpg and then do my heater like these (somehow?).. http://lh5.google.com/sandy1macdonald/R6GoQ2hsAXI/AAAAAAAAAsA/nYgYtRwnYYA/s400/ledacunit21.jpg

What about before the stock dimmer switch ?
heckler
Good point Si. What about before the stock dimmer switch ? yeah, no probs there. still allows the dimmer to be used for the rest of the dash lights
