Now is running at 480p better then PALs 576i? Is running progressive a better picture then PALs larger resolution? If so can anyone advise a good place to get em, went to Games and they wanted £13 for some ropey looking ones. Although I'd gladly help with the Club Spirit thing and accept a set off someone.. When you see "p" its a full resolution. 576i = 288p (its just upscaled, or "stretched" to create 576) 480p = 480p When i first glimpsed the thread i thought you got 480ps out of your Wii. I was mighty impressed. Scott =op That's not quite right.. Each PAL screen is made up of 625lines, but only 576 are visable so we'll go with that number. Each second 50 frames are shown, but each frame is only half the picture, 288 lines. But these are alternate lines, so frame 1 will have lines 1,3,5.... and frame 2 will have 2,4,6.... Why it is called interlace is that the first frame is shown and befow the phosperous (old school TV) dies down the second is shown.. Thus the picture is still 576lines.. People who know what they are talking about wouldn't ask such a question so i answered it in a way that the person asking would get an idea of why P was better than i. When a question is asked we can all whip the boys out and have a right old pissing contest but it makes no difference to the person asking it. In other words, is 1080p a bit much of a muchness before going 50" and above or is it still within our visual boundaries?
