Dr_Doom
Good stuff!! Keep it up, you'll get through it I gave up a few years back now & I also went for the total quit, will power option. Best way IMO, non of this cut down this week & then i'll cut down more next week rubbish. If you're going to give up then just give up! You've got to want to do it though! neil tt
I gave up 13 months ago, best thing I ever done. I did use patches, and I found these helped me a great deal:)
bigcol
well done i tried to quit but my moods got unbearable (or so im told) that most of my friends and family insisted i start again, think that moving house etc at the time didnt help, excuses excuses i know, plus a lack of will power. keep it up you are over the worst part (apparently)

GazB
Keep up the good work with not smoking, i've not smoked since June last year i feel alot better. Healthy, no coughs and constant colds Doing a lot more odd jobs to keep myself busy still and snacking on fruit, the amount of fruit i've eaten since last June i should look like a fruit bat I've found the way to take my mind off wanting to smoke is do something with my hands, we now own the most elaborate rabbit hutch in the midlands, a 7 day build project
Havard
Day 3 - struggling though Don't give in now. Once you get past the first few days it will be easier! I have never smoked or understood people who do but a lot of people quit and then go back!! Good luck! H.
TonyP
Day 466. Well done to anyone who's giving up. The first few weeks are very hard but it does get easier eventually. I hardly ever think about fags now. The most important thing is. "Not even one puff" One fag and you're back to square one. Good luck guys. Burna
My giving up is not going well either, gone from thirty a day to just five/six, but that's not giving up is it I find now I enjoy smoking again as they are like a treat, and it's now affordable. I should have just stopped all together as now it's going to be real hard to stop Damn you cigarettes, DAMN YOU TO HELL!!!
TonyP
Run the pouch under the tap then chuck it in the bin I've done that before. Have you got any idea how hard it is to dry it out again when you change your mind and all the shops are shut.
keancy
I stopped once several years ago and put on a crap load of weight, I looked like rolly-poly so I doubt I will try again. No will power or staying power, but I only smoke about 8-10 very thin roll ups a day anyways so wouldn't class myself a heavy smoker. That's my excuse and I am sticking to it. Godmutha
I gave up at new year too Just went cold turkey.... its the best way, otherwise you're still hooked on the nicotine. For any who are having trouble... I highly recommend Alan Carr's Stop Smoking book. xx
Lbm
I gave up at new year too Just went cold turkey.... its the best way, otherwise you're still hooked on the nicotine. For any who are having trouble... I highly recommend Alan Carr's Stop Smoking book. xx My best friend's wife read this book and gave up immediately. He then read it for a joke...he gave up too. Both smokers for 25 years. Now then, it doesn't work for everyone, but for a lot of people, it does: and this is the important part-they don't miss it. Good luck everyone
