CJ
Well, have a look at this for a theory. I reckon this guy has "way" to much time on his hands.
RiceRocket
To summarize: our heroes never actually crashed; they are the future of mankind - the survivors of a cataclysmic polar event of which they are unaware; they are on the island to survive, procreate and repopulate the Earth. They are unaware of this plan which is sustained by a sophisticated collective consciousness and a group of scientists using electromagnetic power, and psychological techniques of reward and punishment Oops, the flash forwards has blown that theory out of the water
tbourner
Why can't it be Michael and Walt as 2 of the 6? Only 1 left to think about then!

tbourner
Oops, the flash forwards has blown that theory out of the water Not really: This'll be your last chance, Jack. I'm telling you, making that call is the beginning of the end. I haven't seen the first episode of 4 yet, but do we know any more about the boat? We don't know who or why or how the 6 got off the island, but clearly Locke and Ben didn't want them to!!!
ben1985
I think Michael is a good shout to be the person in the coffin. Michael and Walt will not be counted in the "Oceanic Six" as they are now celebrities, and I don't think he would be a celebrity for shafting everyone else on the island. Yes Hurley playing ball with Jack is well before the end of 3rd series, but it is interesting that when they are playing ball, Hurley says they need to go back, which makes Jack angry. But by the time he met Kate Jack also wanted to go back, so something big has changed there! Also, why does Jack, after he is back from the Island, say "go and get my father, and if he is drunker than me....." because his dad was dead before the crash! I think that the six that managed to leave the island, knew that the rest were still on the island but had no option but to leave, there was an attack on the survivors, and Locke is leading them. The six had only one chance to leave and they took it, they do not want to risk going back because they might not be able to return again. As for Jack and his dad, I still can't work that out yet. That's whats so great about the show, unlike Prison Break which is so predictable, but still good to watch. I don't think that it is Michael in the coffin, his x wife would have showed up...surely. Blackie
Slightly off. Charlie had enough time to get to the other side of the door and lock it before the water pressure was too much, Wonder why he did'nt?
CJ
...I don't think that it is Michael in the coffin, his x wife would have showed up...surely. I doubt it, she's dead mate! Hence Walt being with him.

Charlie had enough time to get to the other side of the door and lock it before the water pressure was too much, Wonder why he did'nt? True....maybe he knew that this was his destiny and chose to be a hero....specially after several close calls, he could have died earlier if not for desmond....even makes me wonder why desmond can see into the future now after the explosion. Ric
Slightly off. Charlie had enough time to get to the other side of the door and lock it before the water pressure was too much, Wonder why he did'nt? Because desmond said if he didnt die, claire wouldnt be saved. Walts mum died mid season 1, hence why walt was put in the care of his father, Micheal

I'm losing my marbles I'm going to start tonight with episode 1 series 1.... Then again....Charlie supposed to be dead...and Jacks dad too...and propably Locke and so on... dane_stone
Can anyone remember Walts step dad say to Michel he doesn't want to look after him cos he scares him or something like that. this happen before the crash so why does Walt have powers? Yes he did say something along those lines. Walt did things, like looked at a picture of a bird in a book, then it flew into his window! He has something weird about him (no suprise there then!) as he appears to people on the island, despite not being there! Plus, the "others" all said that Walt was very special, and so did Locke. It seems that the Island likes some people and helps them do amazing things, but then if it goes off you, it sends the black smoke out to murder you! By the way, why does the black smoke sound like a chain being pulled in?
tbourner
What the hell is the black smoke? That's the biggest question for me, at least the one with the least evidence available!! The major point was when it seemed to be 'scanning' Mr. Eko, and when the camera panned round it was almost seeing images of Eko's past, which immediately made me think the others controlled it because they seemed to know too much about all the survivors. Originally I thought that this was some kind of religious matter/entity, as Mr Echo was religious and may well have been protected, although now I am leaning towards a scienific answer. tbourner
I hope none of the Lost world turns out to be religious based, it'd really ruin the whole thing for me!! What would be best is if they could make it appear to be a religious style, with people effectively worshipping some entity, but it turn out to be completely scientific - that'd make it more true to life as well. SILKYSMOOTH
the producers have already said everything what happens in lost is scientifically "theoretically" possible lol. I didn't know that, as I said previously, I only watch the TV shows and make my own assumptions, I don't look at any lost forums either. In fact I am proud to say that this is the only forum I have ever joined or used.

tbourner
Anyone got a torrent for ep2? Not that I've seen ep1 yet!! I watched about 10 mins, in the flashforward the cop says to Hurley that he might have met Anna Lucia before they took off or in the flight, and Hurley said he didn't know her (not sure if he did meet her, can't remember now). Does that mean the Oceanic 6 have said they were the only survivors? ie: they haven't told anyone the story of what's happened?
