RiceRocket
I'd heard season 5 starts 21st Jan 09, not sure if that's here though. Yep that's the US airdate, we've only got to wait 4 days till Sky One's broadcast. Plus Battlestar 4.5 will be back on too (16th Jan US again)

tbourner
Who was that woman at the end?
RiceRocket
Who was that woman at the end? That was Mrs. Hawking, a sort of 'temporal policeman' last seen in Lost when Desmond (his time-shift episode) was buying Penny an engagement ring in the shop. I've confused you even more now haven't I!
ivan
Oh, cheers. I thought it might have been the 'mother in Oxford'.

I know there's info out there I've just tried not to get dragged into it too much. Oh, cheers. I thought it might have been the 'mother in Oxford'. Yeah wonder what she's got to say, Dan must have been working with her on stuff before being recruited for the freighter trip.

Yeah I usually read all the big show's (Heroes, BSG) episodes review/details to check I haven't missed anything or get some clarification. I use Lostpedia for this one
penguin
i'm finding lost a little hard to digest now.... first the producers said it's not time travel etc - this whole season looks to be time travel related... i just hope it doesn't turn into a turkey in the next couple of episodes. Im with you on that. This is the penultimate season so i reckon they are going to stretch it out as long as possible which probably means a few episodes are going to be filler episodes
RiceRocket
Oh well just a year left and it will be all "explained"
The Raven
Seems they are all caught up in a fued between two gods? The locke guy is the bad god, jacob is the good one. The bad one is the smoke monster whom kills those he cannot corrupt IMO (echo and such) Remember back in season one, claire had a dream where JL had one black eye and one white? Also he told walt theres always two sides a light and a dark. If played right this could be the greatest tv program ever made. If they cock it up will be remembered only for its awful ending. tbourner
Seems like Jacob is a god of some sort, now sure about Locke though. I'm confused by the times, I must have missed something. When are Locke and Sun and that at the moment? And who is that other woman with her gang carrying the box?

Locke is the other person that jacob was talking to at the start, he mentions wanting to kill him, He is using Lockes likeness to do it. The real locke is dead as dead can be hence his body fell from the box Sun and the fake locke are in current times

When were they talking? At the start of the episode? The real locke is dead as dead can be hence his body fell from the box Makes sense, it's always been hinted that they can't bring back the dead, just heal you (we assume if you've gone back in time you become healed as you were at that point in history) Sun and the fake locke are in current times I thought they were in the late 90s, as Richard said he spoke to them 20 years ago. We don't know when Locke got shot and rested on the plane as it was during one of the random time jump flashy things.

Yup start of the the first eps of the final two, Sitting on the beach is Jacob and another man, jacob asks if he still wants to kill him, the man replys yes. Richard spoke to the real locke 20 years ago when he was jumping around time, before he went and fixed the wheel which stopped the time jumps. In doing so he was pushed back the present day off the island.

And that's was in the 1800s or earlier I reckon. Maybe the ship on the horizon was the Black Rock...? I'm guessing that Jacob's nemesis is called Esau.
