bigcol Posted January 29, 2008 Share Posted January 29, 2008 just booked a weekend of ghost hunting for me and the wife for our aniversary on the weekend of 14th march to Woodchester mansion in gloucestershire, thought it would be something different, its a proper overnight thing with a company called paranormal tours, looks quite fun, woodchester i do beleive was one of the places on most haunted, i am sceptical and think its all bollox but the wife is into all that, so do you reckon it will be good?? any gloucestershire people know woodchester mansion? anyone ever been there? views and thoughts please:d Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We went armed with recorders, temperature monitors, and amplifiers etc. The atmosphere was good, and I was chatting up a cute goth girl but apart from that nothing happened.... not a thing. A couple of crazy middled aged ladies who claimed to be mediums/seers said they could feel stuff, but give me hard evidence any day of the week. Spooky place though, especially at 3 in the morning. No, that's the thing - I joined up to satisfy my scientific curiosity, and to possibly experience something that I couldn't explain. No such event occured at 3 such meets/hunts and I got so annoyed with the lace and jewellry crowd that I gave up However, my brother came with me to woodchester, and he reckons any ghosts that were there have followed him back home - as ever since he got back, anything electrical in his house keeps breaking, he's been through 3 kettles, 4 ADSL routers and just random stuff that "just works" for me doesn't for him. tbourner Posted January 29, 2008 Share Posted January 29, 2008 It's the same as people who can 'talk to the dead' for you though IMO, ONLY people who believe (or at least want to see something) go on these things, I'm a bit like Lee I wouldn't bother going and if I did I'd have no interest in seeing any of the 'action' I'd just sit it all out. I can watch an episode of MH and keep saying that someone obviously threw the stone or the noise was faked but the missus and her mate says it must be real cos it's on TV!!! bigcol Posted January 29, 2008 Author Share Posted January 29, 2008 no derek (mary loves dick) accora is not involved if he was id just slap him cos he is a total nob:d (him and his ethiopian spirit guide called sam---yeah right you tw*t) he was exposed as being a fraud on most haunted by that Dr bloke (ciaran whatsisface) in the paper thats why he left the show. this we are going on starts at 8pm and finishes at 6am and apparently is really good with "proper" mediums (if you believe that stuff) all the equipment etc, as i said im a sceptic so who knows, i will make sure i take the camera and dvd recorder and if i see anything (mmmmmmm ok!!!!!!) i will post the results, not going till march so plenty time to prepare Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
