Wez
Hey All, Just wondering if anyone knows how much the stock Recaro seats weigh. I can only find info on the stock leathers
colsoop
I have no figures here but i reckon they are at least 9 - 10 kg's The fibreglass fixed back seat i saw in demon tweeks was 7 kg's
Wez
The Cobra Monaco S weighs 7.5kgs with full FIA 1855-1999 approval. With two seats its roughly 3kg lighter than stock, not alot really although every little helps I guess.

Stock driver and passenger seat (leather) is approx 35 kg's If you went with a pair of monaco's that is 20 kg's + the weight of side mounts. Or you could just buy the one lightweight seat and forget a passenger

colsoop
You misunderstood me 20kg's is the weight saving Stock driver and passenger seat (leather) is approx 35 kg's so stock seats (35kg's) - monaco s (15kg's) = weight saving of 20kg's
Wez
Ahh I see I have stock Recaros which I think are much lighter, possibly about 20kg so only saving about 5kg.
Jazzy
For reference, on my daily browse of Recaro's , Recaro claim that the Speeds weigh 30.9 pounds which is 14kg
paul mac
The fibreglass fixed back seat i saw in demon tweeks was 7 kg's this is the same weight as my Cobra Imolas but dont forget this is minus sub frame
Wez
For reference, on my daily browse of Recaro's , Recaro claim that the Speeds weigh 30.9 pounds which is 14kg Are the stock Recaros based on speeds?

Wez
So 14kg, I guess without the subframe and slider? My Sparco Corsas are 10kg each without mounts and sliders, thats an 8kg saving, I might look at lightweight mounts over the heavy steel ones I have. Jazzy
So 14kg, I guess without the subframe and slider? Yeah 14kg for the seats alone. They save a few kg over the stock leathers, but certainly an area for weight loss.

jevansio
My Recaros with Bride subframes weigh 42kgs the pair.

Do you have more pics? mine started out as the shockingly bad fitting Cobra ones, yellow bits are choped off struts (now replaced by the ally sections) ignore the arrows they were explaining something for IMI, i had the steel side mounts and these weighed a ton, i cant remember where i got the ally side mounts from but they were not from Cobra, i will have a dig if you want the info
Wez
Alloy side mounts range in price from £27 to £115. I already have the Sparco seat slide adjusters which I will use on the drivers side only, but not sure how it all fits together. Will keep me busy over the xmas holidays
