SexySallySupra
Hello all... im concidering having the standard plastic black splitter on the front bumper colour coded. Is this a good idea as i dont want the paint to start cracking as the plastic is quite flexable, has any1 done this before and what do you think? SupraStar 3000
Yes, i've done this and its been done for over two years without any cracking. The key is preparation! Toyota painted mine for FREE as a favour but the guy said I had to prepare the item myself, so I asked a neighbour who has a sand blasting company to take off the old paint and sand the lip. Long job but worth the hassle. Hope that helps!
Tricky-Ricky
If you get a local body shop to spray it, apart from using a plastc primer, they can also add an elastic additive to the paint which should stop any cracks caused by flexing. lovatt
this is a nice easy job, just make sure you take it to a good place that has good quality paint, insist on plastic primer and flexy laquer i did mine over 3 years ago along with the active spoiler, it has not chiped or cracked at all
