Guest jamie m
fitting on the gearbox is not really a problem if there pretty much a straight swap as i will do it for him, depends what it involves? just wondered how much a 6 speed box would cost and what sort of limits will they withstand, are the ratios pretty much the same but with 6th on the end or is it a whole differant feeling to the power. They run them on cars with over 1000bhp in the states, they're about as solid as you can get without spending BIG money. You'll need the correct prop, diff and driveshafts and conversions kits are normally between £2.5k to £3k (If you can find one) The ratio's are not the same, using the (weaker) NA diff will result in a very low final drive. Guest jamie m
so if he was to go 6 speed he ideally needs the box, full prop and rear diff? also can the same clutch from the n/a gearbox be used in a 6 speed box?

There's that a myriad of other little bits. A new clutch is needed, the W58 clutch is not reuasable, not sure about the flywheel...
