Snooze
Yep - wouldn't trust a (fully comp?) £224 quote at all. Even the oldies with full NCB and an unmodified UK spec don't get far below £400 as far as I recall.
miko_supra
nice price. only issue is that they dont cover your mods, which is a bummer
jaymdee
just make sure you double check your policy as the cheap deals sometimes are wrong, usualy mkiii not mkiv Yeah, that sounds wrong. Mine's a good quote with Sky (£500 ish), but Admiral, Elephant etc (all the same company) wanted £750, once we'd established they originally gave me a good quote on a 1995 Mkiii (shows how much of a dumb-ass organisation they are!!) brians25
policy came through the day guys an have checked it out, all is well an it is only £224, i only do 3000 miles a year and my mods are covered
Burna
That sounds about right Brian. I could have gone with Elephant on my UK spec for £300 (Actually £370 with 3 points declared) 32 years old 7 years no claims. I eventually went with Sky (£530) though for peace of mind due to mods and agreed value.
Dyer864
Sounds a very good price with elephant ! i was with them a couple of years ago, they gave me a bonus accelerator quote paying for just ten month's but getting full twelve months cover ! when renewal came around and got a few quotes, they mentioned that some insurers wouldn't recognise that you done a full twelve month's cover, cos of the bonus accelerator scheme ! so beware. :sly:
Burna
Also Admiral and Elephant are the same company, so when your renewal comes around I just used to switch between the two and always get a reduction in price
