suprascott Posted January 26, 2008 Share Posted January 26, 2008 Today i was removing the black plastics from the underside of my motor to get them painted and im having real difficulty removing a couple from the ones that run along the bottom of the doors,they just keep turning,which i imagine the thread has gone,any ideas how to get the blighters out,cheers. Guigsy Posted January 26, 2008 Share Posted January 26, 2008 i had exactly this didnt work out wtf was wrong till we pulled them out one side of the car they came out no problem. The other side (passenger) refused to budge. you have to pull them to the side back and fourth till they pup out as the bolts are in sleave things that lock into place. We couldnt get the trim off se ended up just yanking it till it came off (didnt need them anyway) once the trim popped out of the holes leaving them still in the car you could see how it worked. Scooter Posted January 26, 2008 Share Posted January 26, 2008 if you can slip something (blunt knife/screwdriver) between the plastic and the screw head and twist so its appling some downward pressure this 'can' make the insert lock up enough to undo them............worth a go Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
