miko_supra
my sister just told me she got pulled over during the week doing 42 in a 30 at 9:30pm. the police car was hiding behind some bushes after a corner. he told her to get into his car and said she was speeding etc... then says how do you afford a car like that (E46 318) and why do you need such a nice car at your age (22?!?). so she politely tells him (i would have told him it is none of his business personally) ...she then starts crying and instead of him getting it over and done with and writing the ticket he starts pointing out all these cars going past saying that they are all traveling much faster than she was! "but i guess its just not your lucky day" (WHAT THE HELL?!) she got her fine through today jealous pratt. my rant for the day

Kranz
Perhaps she should have stuck to the speed limit? Or at least not get caught

Or at least not get caught never sped then no? lol its torture to go 30 through it. it should be a 40. if the police were so concerned with speeders then they should be visible so that people slow down thus saving all the little stupid children that run into the road in the middle of the night

jamesmark
Quite right absolutely no sympathy, sorry but 42 in a 30? Hardly think a traffic officer would be jealous of a 318. Like what WSB2 said if you speed prepare to face the consequences.

bluecoup
nope my sister got done recently, she got rather upset and if anything he got worse was a absolute hole to her. i guess they think they are putting it on to try and get out of it, we made a formal complaint against him. ok the points and fine stand she broke the law and was caught. no need to be a hole about it though. thought there was a ruling about them hiding up now, that why cameras are yellow

jamesmark
right so you have no sympathy what so ever for tax paying workers that get screwed over by the law for easy money:rolleyes: But your sister did not get screwed, she was breaking the law, your tax paying sister screwed herself (no pun intended). I fail to see your point with that comment.

I fail to see your point with that comment. just not very nice clearly laughing in my face, i can see a pathetic traffic cop being jealous of someone owning a 10 grand car at the age of 22, no one says why would anyone be jealous of a 5 grand supra do they? dont be so rude. sorry for being so concerned that my sister had been upset by an arsehole. just because someone is a policeman doesnt give them a right to be a w@nker to everyone
SBDJ
I had completely the opposite experience last night... got pulled over for the first time since I've had the Supra. Jinxed it; a couple of us were talking about the A41 being a nice road at the Ace Cafe meet, and I was heading along it about 3am. Saw a pair of lights in the distance closing rapidly, so verified my speed and waited. As the car catches me up, I see it is a marked traffic car, followed me for about 5 minutes or so then pulled me. I thought I was in trouble Two nice coppers, just wanted to verify the car wasn't stolen as it wasn't local and it was late. Explained to me about a spate of people smashing house doors in to get car keys for high value cars late at night. Asked me a couple of quick questions, recommended I keep her locked up in a garage and let me on my way. Only took a couple of minutes, and is the kind of stop I am all in favour of

Thats normaly true my mum was doing 80 on the motorway in my bros mustang on the way back from france when the speed limit had been dropped to 50 she drove by the cops and all they did was look over to her and tell her to slow down. 5Mins up the road he pulled over a man in a skyline. Lets see it from a different angle. Mr Plod has just finished with an RTA that cost the life of a pedestrian due to someone speeding. Then he sees your sis speeding and pulls here over, do you think he is going to react any less?? I am not saying that this is what has happened and the chances of this being the case are slim, but we can sit all day calling cops w@nkers for simply doing there job. I know if I was constantly pulling speeders and dealing with non-fatal and fatal RTA's I would be sick of them. This may not apply to your sis, but how many women turn on the waterworks for the slightest thing? Quite a lot. Plus we only have one side of the story. Pig
No sympathy here. 42 in a 30 is a lot over. Rules are rules, break them and you suffer the consequenses. Get over it! She broke the law she got punished. If your sis cannot handle someone shouting at her for breaking the law then she should stick to the speed limit from now on. drnas78
Report him for acting unprofessionally, speeding fair enough he pulled her for that he has a right to thats his job but , the rest he has no right to and you are in your rights to complain .... jamesmark
dont suppose your a traffic cop are you? sorry daddy No I am not, but I respect them. I whole-heartedly agree with you that some of them are on power trips and it can be disgusting their attitude sometimes. However if you get caught speeding a stern talking to is usually part and parcel of getting pulled over.
supradibbs
Tell your sis i will pop round and give her some symathy:d 42 30 we all do it she got caught! i do agree though place the cars in view then no one will speed, sadly its all about fines and the revenue it generates. It does annoy me sometimes though why some traffic cops are such smug pr*cks meet some very good one but the vast majority are little hitlers
