QSC
They don't always work you know - I got stopped in Manchester the officer was totally convinced I was driving an uninsured car because it didn't show up on his system. He's asking me who I'm insured with I say "no idea, my brother handles my insurance, & there's no way he would allow me to drive around uninsured". "Very well then sir, blow into this please" says he - negative of course, he has to give me a producer & he is not a happy bunny at all. The ironic bit is we'd just come from playing the Manchester beer festival

Guest Killer Heels
I think there are good point to the camera My car got stolen with the key's - got it back 10 days later due to the camera. I do feel sorry for those on a trade policy, as i would have though that they were down as uninsured like they are when you try and buy a tax disc online. As to the italic plates and people who totally screw up letter io think there should be more done for those that are not the standard letters and size. (not spacing;)) I got photographed and threatened that i would lose my plate due to the spacing of my 14, yet some of the one's on my Mum and Dad's street would take you about 5 minutes to try and work it out! There no justice!!!!!

Supra-Brett
There's loads of cars out there with almost totally illegible plates, italic letters and black screws all over the place. yep there are and they are illegal. BUT, back to my original point. Is it legal to stick random numbers and letters all over the back of a car to somehow try and disguise the true plate ? Would this confuse ANPR ? Can you display the correct plate and also some ones that dont relate to the car ?

Watched the same program a few weeks ago and if you put tape on to try and change the letters you can get done for intenting to fill up and not pay - it's got a special name but cant think what. i think its the same as having dodgy plate over originals. The ANPR doesn't always pick them up but if a cop gets behind you, you are very likely to get pulled. K
T2 MSW
I bricked it the other day, got pulled over and I was sure it was for my plate, Cheeky B*&*^&d pulled me for having a defective brake light - guess which light it was, yep one of the led's in the third light! TLicense
I see what you're saying. Say if you had a load of random numbers all over the back of the car that were of a similar shape and font to your perfectly legal rear number plate, would the ANPR throw a wobbler? I'm guessing not, because otherwise it would whenever it came up behind anything with sign writing on the back, like commercial vans or buses. But what if your company was a company that sold number plates, and the signwriting on your van was pictures of loads of different number plates? I wonder what would happen then? Guest Killer Heels
were you bricking it due to your dodgy plate:no:

The obscuring of a number plate could be a fraud offence.
