CJ
Since moving out the Greece in June of 2007, I have only been to the cinema twice and that was back in the UK during my visit in December when I saw The Hitman and I am Legend. I now find myself with plenty of spare time before the season starts in May and was wondering what films you folks could suggest as worthwhile to either download or rent? I like most sorts of film with the exception of horror.

colsoop
I have a look at the usual suspects who sell dvd's and look at their most popular for a guide on what to watch. then go to imdb for a review to see if its worth acquiring

Jackass 2 - far far far far better than the first (the first was pretty dump) the second is one of the best things i've seen!

Scott
American Gangster 300 Hot Fuzz Charlie Wilsons War Cars Shoot Em Up's The kingdom Deja vu The departed Blood Diamond Flushed away (kiddy but good) World Trade Centre Hannibal Rising Click Hmm, not exactly what i would call the best of 2007 in that list. The best movie there is probably the departed. This is only going to be my opinion but if that's what your choosing to watch here is the order i think they should be in The departed (excellent movie, Nicholson's performance is unreal) 300 (superb movie, full of action and never a dull moment) Deja vu (Very very nice idea and cleverly done) American Gangster (Great story but a little slow at times) Hannibal Rising (Pretty good, nice insight into hannibal) Click (funny at times but so predictable its unreal, the bit with the HOFF is worth it alone) Hot Fuzz (Again funny at times but the story is a bit thin) Cars (Funny but i'm not really into animated flicks) Shoot Em Up (Full of action but the story is crap) The kingdom Not seen these yet Charlie Wilsons War Blood Diamond Flushed away (kiddy but good) World Trade Centre Films that i reckon should be added: The Inside Man (Superb movie) The Pursuit Of Happyness (must see) August Rush (Another feel good movie) The Bourne Ultimatum (3rd in a Trillogy) The Simpsons Movie (if you like the simpsons) Transormers (I'm an 80's kid, it has to be added lol) Spiderman 3 (If you haven't seen it its pretty good) DieHard 4 (not the best but good all out action) I would watch the above in top to bottom too. Jake
Babel The Science of Sleep Last King of Scotland Babel ? Mate, you ARE kidding, right? What a pile of poo that was! Blatent "Crash won best film last year, let's do an international version of that!" And as for people saying Hot Fuzz - What The Ftwouck? Did you only see one film last year? World Trade Center was shite too. So was Blood Diamond -based on a true story my artwose Anyone that votes for Click as best film of 2007 should be automatically banned. THE DEPARTED - ftw! Snooze
"for the win"? Granted, The Departed IS a good film, and although Crash is pretty good, Babel IS better.
jim_supra
THE DEPARTED - ftw! Got to agree on that, although I thought the ending was unnecesary. The Pursuit of Happiness is a superb film and I though Rocky Balboa was great aswell.
