jamesmark
I know there are probably better restaurants, Sarah (my better half) has always wanted to go there. So possibly going to arrange a surprise trip for her to London and go to Claridges for dinner. So has anyone been? Claridges
Charlotte
My mum has been several times and loves it and my friend took her boyfriend there a few weeks ago. She said it was marvellous.

Charlotte
I'm not sure it's an ideal place for a vegetarian though. He doesn't really agree with the concept.
Big Ads
3 Courses for £30... Bargin!
michael
It's a lot cheaper than I thought it would be - even the a la carte is only £65 for three courses.
tooquicktostop
I have been several times VERY formal, the kind of restaurant that people whisper to eachother, also very expensive for dinner, especially the wines, you need to factor in the 12.5% service charge to the price lists The food is very good as you would expect from Mark Sargent, very precise presentation and flavours if a little fussy at times, if going for dinner you may only get the table for a time slot to allow a second sitting which I find very disagreeable when you pay as much as you do, but thats London for you The decor is amazing and a true experience but there are many better places for the money IMO
caseys
I've been a few months ago, went for the a la carte lunch for the missus' birthday. Be prepared to book quite a few weeks in advance! The hotel is lovely, the restaurant is indeed lovely (As was also I found out... Tiffany's Jeweller's down the road in Bond St - Don't go there with money!) The lunch was absolutely fantastic. Lamb was the best I've ever tasted, so too were the desserts. I had Tuna 3-ways for the starter, I didn't realise a part of it would be a slab of yellow fin tuna - RAW - in Vinegar, sprinkled with black pepper. The texture I had to say was interesting... Yes, the ambience is quite regal. Been in posher hotels, but it's very hushed there. Be prepared to wear a nice shirt + suit, lady in a dress etc. No jeans, trainers, short-sleeves allowed. Oh and the tour of the kitchen was very interesting too! As it was the missus' birthday too, the Matre De (excuse the spelling) found out, inbetween the main course and desert they brought out a little cake with a nice caramel 'Happy Birthday' spooned round the rim of this huge dessert plate. Ewen
You could always take her up the Oxo Tower. Others in London my wife and I would recommend.... Simpsons in the Strand (formal but friendly) Chez Gerard in Covent Garden (manic) The Chop House in Butlers Warf (lovely setting by Tower Bridge) Gary Rhodes Restaurant in the Cumberland Hotel, Oxford Street

Pot
Apparently, you can get a table in the actual kitchen where GRamsey's working, I think it's a set menu, but a bloke at work's going for it, if you want, I'll ask him about it for you?... I think you'd be pretty lucky to catch Ramsey cooking in one of his own restaurants these days - the chefs table concept is available at a few but the chef in question won't be the big G. jamesmark
Yeah it is the Chef's table, set at £640 for lunch and £840 for dinner. So even if you have 3 people it is still the same price, max 6 people.
