cheekymonkey
Hey all. I know some of you are thinking of getting some of these sensors / gauges. I've finally got around to mounting the modules, behind the stereo as per the attached pictures. I have: DM-100 display module SM-AFR SM-EGT SM-Fluid Temp (oil temp) It's a nice snug fit on top of the ABS control ECU and they don't rattle around even though they aren't attached with anything at the moment. The wires for the DM-100, USB remote control and USB to host lead just come out into the passenger footwell area at present, while I think of where to mount them permanently. If anyone wants to know anything about these please ask away.
michael
Looks a bit easier than I thought, those modules seem to be a bit smaller than I expected - I might just fill the glovebox with them if I do end up going for this option. Nice to see the display unit mounted too, the slimline nature of it means you can get away with having it in some different locations to the usual ones. Thanks for posting this

Yeah it's really thin - that's just velcro'd in. The only slight problem is that the lead comes out of the centre of the back of the display, and is tacked down to route it to the bottom of the display. This does mean it can't be mounted properly to a flat surface, sadly. See attached. I might lose my boost meter, and make a 52mm to 60mm adaptor ring so it can fit in there, but I'm no good with that sort of thing!
rob wild
This looks really good! Dare i ask how much?
cheekymonkey
729 US dollars, at the time that was £360 ish. Comparable to a standalone wideband with the flexibility I wanted.
Gaz Walker
Nice to see someone with it fitted in a Supra
Lukeyboy2k
I also invested in some PLX gauges - I didn't want to much "dash clutter" when going BPU. I bought the DM200 (Organic LED screen), AFR sensor, EGT SENSOR, and boost sensor. These are all displayed on the single screen. OK, so I blatantly stole the idea of mounting the display in the rear view mirror. It took me the best part of a day to sort it, and although I'm fairly pleased with the first atempt, I think it can be improved upon. Anyway, pics.......................... I reckon I could) <a href=http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/3536/0804071425ix3.jpg' alt='0804071425ix3.jpg'>
Multics
Silly question really, but is there a way to toggle the display, as you have multiple sensors connected? What if you want to see only one sensor reading (ex: only boost, or only EGT) instead of seeing all sensor readings in one display?

What if you want to see only one sensor reading (ex: only boost, or only EGT) instead of seeing all sensor readings in one display? Yes. If you look at the second picture in my post you will see: BST AFR VAC (There should also be EGT between BST and AFR, but it didn't show up because of my rubbish camera). - i.e. 4 parameters. In the third picture it shows AFR only (but in much larger text). i.e. single paramter. These can be toggled fairly easily with button presses on a remote controller. At the moment I normally just have the single display of BST (boost) because it is the only sensor actually plumbed in! (I see no point in installing the EGT or AFR until I change the standard exhaust system for a decatted one.)
Wez
The rear view mirror idea is a nice touch
