SupraAyf
Well, it certainly pays to shop around. How many on here are guilty of buying a car from your local dealer because you think you're getting a good deal. Well, I have started shopping around the various UK dealers to compare and see what discounts are available. Here are a few I came up with. A Volvo dealer in Durham charges 35k for an XC90 SE Diesel but the Doncaster branch will do the same package for 31k. My local Dodge dealer will do a 2.8 Diesel Nitro for 25k and yet the Stockton branch will do it for 21K. The local Renault shop will do a Megane Cabriolet Sport for 18K and yet a company down in the midlands will do the same UK-model for 13K. I realise that the distance will put off a few punters but I think it’s worth it when you can save so much of your hard earned cash. We get stuffed in this country for car sales so there should be some regulated authority that limits the costs that some dealers charge. As a final example but a fully loaded Special Edition Jeep Cherokee costs 20k and yet the US Army bases in the UK sell them for only 9K - (the normal US price to soldiers). Just my gripe for the month:D P.S. Sorry for not using a pound-sign but I don't have one on this computer of mine:rolleyes:
colsoop
The problem if they put some sort of limit on it, you guarantee it would be limited on the high side Convenience and lack of inititative is normaly why people get charged more than they should. Or perhaps Brittish people are so used to taking it up the proverbial they have given up and pay what is dictated

merckx
I shopped around and bought my van from the Irish Republic, around £3000 cheaper than over here at the time. The trip over there was nice too. P.S. Sorry for not using a pound-sign but I don't have one on this computer of mine:rolleyes: No excuses, I've had that problem in the past too. Find it on Google.
