I haven't got a PS3 either :D, was going to use GT5 as the reason for buying one, I guess Prologue isn't a big enough reason.

ahh...

I've got Call of Duty which is amazing....not to mention the PS3 as a Blue-Ray & Upsaling DVD player on its own makes it a fantastic Home Theatre machine.

They are amazingly quiet.....cant hear it at all when watching movies......makes the 360 look like a complete joke.

Must admit, I really got into the COD series on other platforms, it looks mint on PS3, & the Blue-Ray is a bonus,

I pre-ordered mine from HMV. It usually comes on day of release so hoping to have it tomorrow:) Though my ps3 isn't conected to the internet so i assume i cant download the uprade. We have a wireless box downstairs but i dont know the password for it, and Im crap at that sort of thing:d

There should be the password on a sticker on the underneath off most of them.....;)

See if its there and I'll try and help you with the rest.....

has anyone hooked up to the online 16players yet?

do we have to pay for subscription

Yep, I have and it's pretty good. You don't have to pay. 16 car races can get a bit manic!

Other cars 'ghost' for a few seconds if they hit the barrier and spin onto the track in front of you, so you don't end up with all 16 cars in a massive pile up - which would have happened in some of the races I've been in! (you just drive through the 'ghost' cars who are subject to a penalty of 4 or 5 seconds with no power when they crash into something)

As Homer said, the handling is much more realistic now. I lowered one of my cars by 11mm at the rear and 14mm at the front and totally screwed the handling! The weight shifted too far to the front and the rear was trying to come round every time I lifted off the throttle into a corner. (even slightly feathering the trottle was a problem)

This online stuff is a lot of fun!

how do you lower it?

there are no mods on there?

Once you complete the A, B and C parts, when you go to a new race, immediately before actually racing, theres a option in the Quick Menu at the bottom of the screen with a spanner on it - this allows you to perform a 'quick tune'.

I went out and bought it on Friday too, I've finished the first two "parts" (those overtake all cars in one lap ones are tough aren't they! only managed bronze on the first and silver on the second) and had one brief go online.

I like the penalties now if you try to cut corners or ram someone off, makes things a bit fairer! I remember in GT4 it was much easier speeding into a tight corner and using the AI car as the brake :D

If you add other people as friends then can you see when they're playing on-line and join their game too?

Ahh, nice one Ash mate. I'll have a look tonight. Ive played it a bit now. The drifting is quite addictive. But with a DC5, Evo X and a little suzuki im just going through the events.:)
