Havard
Just had a bit of an incident whilst taking my 5 year old for a hair cut. We'd been sat in the barbers for about 20 mins, there were about 4 other people waiting to be served when a guy comes in and starts talking to the other people, Ellis and I were on the opposite side of the shop sat in the window bay minding our own business and I was reading the paper. After a couple of mins the guy starts getting really loud and abusive. He had come into the shop asking for a light for his cig. He lit up in the shop and the woman who was cutting hair asked him to go outside. He then starts off effing at the people and didn't realise I was behind him. He turned round and saw Ellis and I and apologised for his language and said "I've got kids mate, I'm really sorry!". I was fuming but the apology took the sting out of things. He then turns back to the group and the barber and starts effing at them again.... WTF!! I then stood up said "You better be on your way mate!" Another guy got up and between us he was shepherded out of the shop. He banged on the door outside and then staggered off..... About 20 mins later after we'd been served I put my lad in the car and we drove towards the village centre. This guy had obviously tried to sit on the wall of the local church and had falled backwards onto the grass. I drove past really slowly watching him wriggle on his back like a turtle! Question is............at 1pm, how can you be so pissed that you can hardly stand up. To then walk into a shop and start abusing a bunch of strangers and then fall on your arse in a church yard!! It seems you can't even nip to the local barbers without having to deal with ar$eholes!! H.

juanchan
I've never had an encounter with a drunk like that, but when I was at uni, there was a homeless guy who used to sleep in the same shop doorway every night. Each morning I'd walk past him on my way to uni at about 8:30 and he'd be supping away on his Special Brew, with 3 empties already beside him

Havard
This guy wasn't a Harry Ramp. He was mid thirties, t-shirt, jeans and a decent pair of trainers! If he'd been a "Gentleman Of The Road" then I wouldn't have been surprised..... H.

Brilliant As for Havards initial post.... what I don't understand is that even when i'm drunk I can control myself... why can't other people? SUPRASUZUKI
Brilliant As for Havards initial post.... what I don't understand is that even when i'm drunk I can control myself... why can't other people? Different levels of drunk mate. There's drunk and in control (sort of) and there's drunk, fell asleep on the grass verge only to wake up as your car, driven by your worried wife, pulls up alongside. At 2am, when she's come looking for you as she's worried and can't sleep. I was a bit younger then. About 39.......

Kranz
Welcome to the new 24 hour drinking culture of our fine country All night & following day bender, probably some personal problem behind it all, such as wife/partner just left him/died. Sadly this is the kind of person that I end up having a fight with No ability to comprehend that they are being a total ar*e & nearly always end up getting aggressive and violent.
