Pixelfill
says "is currently unavailable" so we know it's available from your tracert, (and the fact that we're all chatting) sounds like a firewall issue. Mike
Gaz6002
Gatso - look out for something on your browsers software. Look for something blocking or restricting adult sites. I've got a feeling this is your problem.
Gaz6002
I'm thinking it's something as simple as "safesearch" or maybe AOLs Nazi equivilent. It's obviously some sort of allocation issue with the system you are using. Am I the first person to worry about the NSFW section with regards to VBullettin and search engines these days?? Pixelfill
Am I the first person to worry about the NSFW section with regards to VBullettin and search engines these days?? Not the first, but it's all behind members only so should be fine shouldn't it. although in general the language is getting worse so maybe "swear filters" are flagging the site Mike

Gaz6002
Not the first, but it's all behind members only so should be fine shouldn't it. Mike Should. Now I'm going to be seen as a scare-monger - but I'm not. It's my job to look into these things.
Gaz6002
although in general the language is getting worse so maybe "swear filters" are flagging the site and yes, this is the same train of thought. Not about the members, content or similar but the forum itself. The web is busy these days.

Saying that, if I require IP addresses I'll be requesting this moved to members only or using PM. I'd rather do it in public though so others can be helped. Gerry
Just to say thank you everybody for trying to help... This is my first post on the wireless laptop. Spend (another) four hours today trying sort it out with Belkin (router makers). Spoke to two nice but useless indians this morning and one nice and useful one ! The first two just managed to 1, disconnect my laptop completely from the net and the second and 2, disconnect my main pc from the net - not happy. It took me another couple of hours to get it back on. Finally sorted it out and it was a setting in the router, was PPPoE and sould have been PPPoA Anyway, all OK (for now). Cheers all.
