I'm thinking it's something as simple as "safesearch" or maybe AOLs Nazi equivilent. It's obviously some sort of allocation issue with the system you are using.

Am I the first person to worry about the NSFW section with regards to VBullettin and search engines these days??

Not the first, but it's all behind members only so should be fine shouldn't it. although in general the language is getting worse so maybe "swear filters" are flagging the site

Thanks Gaz, will do.

Feel guilty using up your evening so I'll have a play and put a post up tomorrow with my findings..

very many thanks..

No worries. I can't be on here 24/7 but i'll try to help a fellow member. Saying that, if I require IP addresses I'll be requesting this moved to members only or using PM. I'd rather do it in public though so others can be helped.

  • 1 month later...

Just to say thank you everybody for trying to help...

This is my first post on the wireless laptop.

Spend (another) four hours today trying sort it out with Belkin (router makers).

Spoke to two nice but useless indians this morning and one nice and useful one !

The first two just managed to 1, disconnect my laptop completely from the net and the second and 2, disconnect my main pc from the net - not happy. It took me another couple of hours to get it back on.

Finally sorted it out and it was a setting in the router, was PPPoE and sould have been PPPoA

Anyway, all OK (for now).

Cheers all.

G :)
