marc_p
Hi, First of all i would like to say thank you on your guide to buying a supra as this has come in use in my search. First off I havn't got a supra yet i currently have a civic coupe(chav style!) but due to me wanting a car that just looks smart and people admire I am looking to buy a supra but unfortunately due to me only being 20 years old i can only get insured on a non-turbo, i have found one that i really like which is nice, clean and only a few subtle mods, I have about seven to spend on one and prefferebly want one in white and definately a manual (no offense to you auto box owners) the one i found and went to look at is in the link below please let me know what you experts think of it. http://www.japperformanceuk.co.uk/jap/details.php?id=200 Cheers Marc
Havard
Hi Marc - Welcome.. That car looks a bit pricey to me. It's pre-facelift with Veilside skirts (which aren't massively popular). I paid 5k for a manual 96 facelift back in Feb 07. Have a look in my garage!! There is plenty of choice around on Pistonheads, Auto trader etc. I certainly wouldn't rush your decision as it's a buyers market. Don't rule out the auto either.... Good luck! H. Guest Andyewen
Hello to everyone. I think I joined a few years back but couldn't remember any login details, (had what my auntie calls a 'craft' moment). I've owned an imported 1996 facelift TT for 5 years and done over 60K in it. It's been nothing but a complete joy in that time. My second car is a Volvo 850R estate, (big red wardrobe) for carting stuff around in. I get fanatical Volvo nerds approaching me all the time to rave about the 850R and even though it's quick for an estate, (250BHP) I always have to stop them short and say it's my second car and I prefer to drive the twin-turbo Supra. The look of utter dejection on their faces is always priceless. Anyway, I need a bit of advice if anyone can help. I have to replace the rear nearside wheel bearing and have been offered a new one from another Forum member but it's for a non-turbo version and I need to know if they are the same for Turbo versions. Any help would be hugely appreciated, Thanks Andy.
