Gazboy
Am I right in thinking that the JDM cars use the same wheel nuts as the UK cars? And that Mr T will also sell a locking key for them? Cheers.
supRo
Not sure if they are same as UK spec. It will also depend on if you have aftermarket alloys. You can take a nut off and compare it if you are buying directly from a retailer. You can get hold of the locking nuts from R-Tec in St Albans, sorry haven't got their number. I got a set of McGard which are top quality and the 'Key' fits inside rather than outside. I think they cost £29.
Terminator
They are the same for JDM and UK. IMHO locking wheelnuts are a waste of time with crackers available over the counter. If someone wants your wheels, even with a good alarm they will have them.

Then went to ats and they had all the tools there to do take off any locking nut. And these tools were a fitters personnal items that you can buy over the counter. At the end of the day it may slow the thieving Bar stewards down enough to get seen by someone....or maybe not

Cheers. If you have a decent alarm system then you can have a tilt sensor fitted to it. Basically the alarm is activated as soon as the theiving rascals start jacking up the car
lightwave
Maybe they're only deterrants, but that helps. Nothing will stop determined criminals - alarms/bolts/locks/barriers etc. It helps to avert the attention of the casual skalliwag. Perhaps it also poses a little challenge too, which is bad. supRo
Do the Supra wheels only fit Supras (Obviously!) and Lexus's only? Hopefully us Supra owners think twice before buying 'back of a lorry' wheels, therfore without demand, wheel thefts should be low. Got a feeling alot of the Jap performance cars share the same fitment?

Need4Speed
Lower the car so much that a jack won't go underneath... that'll slow 'em down. Lexus GS300 Sport rims fit very nicely. Quite a few people bought them last year. Use Search...
Gazboy
Hi chaps- it was the key for the 'allen bolt' style nuts I was after. I went to MrT in Slough, who simply were not intrested in dealing with me, and said to try my luck elsewhere. While I was there I asked how much a full UK brake upgrade would be on the fronts only. The assistant looked to the sky and said £2800- he did pluck a number from his head, right? That's a lot of money for not a lot! I found the key in the boot btw. terribleturner
If you can get to Iver then go here. He'll have the locking nuts on site, and damn good quality ones too.

That is "a lot of money for not a lot". The parts will cost you well under £1000 with pads etc. It's very easy to do yourself if you have a few basic tools (and I do mean basic tools) and a decent garage/driveway.
